Real silicon, real ROM
Your own dump runs on emulated original silicon. The original code at the original timing, not a re-implementation that behaves nearly like it.
Persistent emulation for the virtual pets of 1996–2000: P1, P2, Mothra, with the V-series next. Your dump runs on your own machine, keeps living with no screen open, and streams to every device you pick up.

01
Your own dump runs on emulated original silicon. The original code at the original timing, not a re-implementation that behaves nearly like it.
02
The pet keeps living with the tab shut and the host rebooted, and pushes to your phone when it needs you. Every save is kept, so you come back to the pet you left rather than to a fresh egg.
03
Host it on Windows, macOS, Linux, or Docker, play it from any browser, and send the living pet on to ESPHome, M5Stack, and Flipper Zero.
Notifications
A pet that lives whether or not you are watching has to be able to reach you. When it raises the attention icon, the push lands on your phone, wherever you are: hungry, unhappy, sick, an egg hatching, an evolution.
Free push · no account · nothing routed through us
Push runs over ntfy: install the app, subscribe to a topic only you know, and the alerts arrive like any other notification. The urgent ones, like a pet that has been ignored or a death, are sent at high priority and escalate if nobody answers. Your server talks to the push service directly; there is no account with us and nothing of yours passes through anything we run.
Hardware
Not one device. TamaSync emulates the generations of virtual pet that all ran on the same silicon: the first two, the 1997 kaiju tie-in, and the V-series next. The pet you raise is the one that ROM raises, kept on hardware you own.

Platforms
Every one of them runs the same original code on the same emulated silicon. The pet is the same pet on all of them.

Shells
Whatever your favourite retro virtual pet looked like, it is in the set, and a hundred and nine others besides. One roll on hatch, one swap or trade per playthrough, five rarity tiers, collections that unlock.
Cosmetic only. The pet underneath never changes.
Keep it on hardware you own, play it from any device, and carry the living pet between them.
